Legal Expert Direct – Custom Search Functionality

Legal Experts Direct is a project started by Advantage Media Partners as a secondary service to offer their existing expert witness clients. Upper management approached the development team and wanted a website similar to SEAK or JurisPro.

My responsibility in the project was to create custom post types for each Expert, Custom Taxonomy to categorize the Experts and search functionality that would allow a user to search one or all of the taxonomies. It was important that the search functionality had a “guessing” feature as the user types.

In addition, I am responsible for creating the archive templates and single expert post type templates as well. Using ACF to create templates and allow for rapid deployment of new experts by non-technical staff was another feature that is important.
